As of 7 August 2025, the Australian Department of Home Affairs (DHA) has expanded the list of approved English proficiency tests. ✅ What’s New?
The DHA has now officially approved three new English tests for visa purposes:
- LANGUAGECERT Academic
- CELPIP General
- MET (Michigan English Test)
These are now accepted alongside the traditional options like IELTS, PTE Academic, and TOEFL iBT — but only when taken at an authorised test centre.
❗ At-home or remote online versions of these tests are not accepted for visa purpose
