Scholarships: International Academic Merit Scholarship: 20% off tuition fees for the whole degree (the programme length in your offer, less any credit), for citizens of countries other than Australia and New Zealand with a GPA of 4.5 out of 7 or equivalent who meet the course entry requirements and study full-time. Automatic: there is no application, and the award is shown in your Letter of Offer. For students starting in any trimester of 2026 or 2027 (deferring to 2028 or later loses it). Most bachelor’s and coursework master’s qualify; excluded are the MBA (5158), diplomas, the Masters Qualifying Program, the Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Dental Health Science, Doctor of Medicine, Master of Dentistry, Master of Speech Pathology, Graduate Diploma of Flight Management, GELI English courses, part-time-only programmes and programmes taught with a partner organisation. To keep it you must pass all courses and stay enrolled full-time; if you win a Griffith scholarship worth more than 20%, that one applies instead.
Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship: 50% off tuition fees for the whole degree, for citizens of countries other than Australia and New Zealand with a GPA of 6.0 out of 7 who are new students with an offer and study full-time. Competitive (“scholarship numbers are limited”): apply separately with academic records and a personal statement after you receive your offer. Tuition Support Award (Trimester 1, 2027): 10% of your tuition fees for your first trimester only, for new full-time international fee-paying students (citizens of countries other than Australia and New Zealand) starting a bachelor’s or postgraduate coursework programme at any Griffith campus in Trimester 1, 2027. No application: accept your offer and pay the deposit within 14 days of receiving it (offers from 1 October 2026), and the award appears in your Letter of Offer. Griffith says it “will apply in addition to other Griffith International student scholarships” and is paid as a credit before the first census date. Limited to AUD 500,000 in total, “only while funding lasts”; deferring to a later intake loses it. Not for students on a pathway package with Griffith (for example Griffith College), foreign government scholarship holders, online, part-time-only or partner-delivered programmes, GELI English courses, and listed dental, psychology, medical and allied health degrees.
